What was the filming location for the 1935 film Mark of the Vampire?

I agree w/ your answer, except some of those sets were too fierce to have been constructed on some back lot. I’ve never seen any (I think) of these sets in any other movie, but maybe you are correct. Thank you

During that time period, MGM made all of their movies on the studio lot at MGM Studios in Hollywood. Also, Bela Lugosi had a ’studio lot’ contract with MGM at the time and he was used on many studio films and was paid for his contract instead of each individual film. Filming On Location (outside the studio lots) didn’t become financially possibly until many decades later, well beyond the ‘golden age’ of cinema.
