What should I work on in my drawings?
I’ve been drawing for awhile, and it became my serious hobby in fourth grade. I’m in seventh grade now, and am really trying to reach my highest ability. Right now, I’m working on clothing and hands. Could you guys please tell me what you think of my art, and what I should work on a bit more? If you have the time to do so, looking at my drawings would mean so much to me. Also, do you guys like my style of drawing? Yes, or no? I’m constantly experimenting with new art styles.
Here are some pieces I believe represent my best work. Sorry for the watermarks, art thieves are evil: (I did these all on Photoshop)

As Kimberly as said, draw each and every day. "Practice makes perfect" as they always say. If I were you, I would focus on depth, perception, shadows and lighting, facial structure, the ruffles of the clothing, and your color scheme. . . But other than that, I would advise you to stay away from the cartoon style of drawing. I can see you gaining some kind of recognition if you straighten and neaten your art works.
Best of luck,
Yours most sincerely, Alex
My best advice is for you to draw every single day. If not every single minute of spare time, every single day. That’s the best way to get better, faster.
Experiment with new art styles is another great thing to do, but do yourself a favor and don’t stick to the cartoony style. Try drawing some real life things. If you want to learn about the way clothing folds, throw a sweater on the table and draw it. If you want to know what a face looks like from a certain angle, find a picture and copy it. Don’t trace, though.
Honestly your style is just okay. It’s very colorful which I like, but not everything is spot on. I can definitely see some potential.
well i think that the one that came out looking the most professional is the fourth drawing.
If anything, put a little more time and effort into the face and eyes.
Try drawing some real things and make them look real with shadows and values. The type of drawing you do you do well but there is a lot more to art than that.
WTF are you smoking? This reminds of the time i went to a museum with art made by the physically and mentally handicapped…
acceptable, for 3rd grade.
