the vampire gets some
You need a new idea. Editors are sick of Vamp Romances. Write a real vamp story. Like Dracula.
Maybe have a time travel vamp story…
First, you should read other, better books.
Second, make up a Mary Sue character. Give her a name that screams such. Have her physically resemble you, and your male lead must be ideal and perfect. Extra points if you make the girl a proper Mormon woman in practice.
Third, rewrite those other novels using virtually no original ideas, and throw in a few things that destroy the basic rules of what your vampires are supposed to be. You can make them sparkle for example.
Fourth, write it badly and hinge heavily on emotion and sexual tension. Make sure your book’s pitched to teenagers.
Fifth, when you publish it, make sure you write three or four more, and throw a childish hissyfit when someone says something bad about them or leaks them on the internet.
That’s about it. Also, when you license the movie, make sure it’s made badly and with no regard to cinematic style or content.
First, that kind of story is ALL ready written. I haven’t read Twilight yet but I am going to. But that is the bases for Twilight so it is already taken. How about you make it where the two main characters are human then one of them gets turned and then you have to find a way around THAT.
That would be Twilight fanfic, then, would it?
What should happen is what you want to happen. If you don’t know what should happen, don’t write a story.
You should honestly do something other than a romance; Twilight is such a sickening stereotype! Do something more to do with a vampire lifestyle and the struggle to stay moral and fight the thirst for blood… and lose.
actually macabee, why don’t you read Cirque Du Freak? It’s almost exactly like that (after a fashion…)
But the other people are right, write something different. I take it you’re a Twilight fan, yes? Well just get away from the "vampire romance idea" nobody wants to read any more bloody vampire romance novels!
