My gosh, it’s not even Christmas, and already, I’m thinking about next Halloween. Anyways, next year I want to really go all out, and do myself up as a sexy gothic movie vampire; specifically, as far as the movies, where might I begin to look, as far as inspiration??? I definitely don’t want to do this on the cheap, so are there any specific websites, where I could get some real good quality special effects make-up supplies???

I’m having a scary movie marathon on Halloween night but a lot of my friends aren’t really into scary movies, so I thought I would get some from the 80s since the special effects are bound to make them more cheesy. than scary (right?) Any suggestions?
Oh, one more thing, they have to be appropriate for fifteens year olds. Like, not TOO much cussing or anything. Haha, thanks!

Wesley Snipes was the title character in the 1998 film Blade. I thought the film was cool minus all the CGI vampire explosions throughout the scenes. I think it would have been cooler if the vampire attacks spilled over into daily commute to the point that the national guard was called in or that we saw massive troops of cops arresting criminals but instead of putting them in jail they emptied all the jails to turn the criminals into vampires. That would have given the crooked cops a bigger role in the movie if they were openly targeting random humans to infect with vampirism. Then the news reports would have flashed on the screen of hospitals overflowing with anemia and random kidnappings in the city. That would have made the film more dramatic instead of the vampires just being packed together in safe houses. The closest we got to open human panic from the vampires were when Frost tossed that girl into the street and Blade started shooting, then also when Quinn jumped out the hospital window landing in an ambulance and the woman patient screamed in horror when she saw him. We needed more of that occuring throughout the movie to make it dramatic and keep things interesting. Like if the vampires attacked a college campus at night and the police had SWAT members tranquilizing innocent humans for vampirism infection that would have been deep! Especially if Whistler was tracking them from their base and sent Blade out to certain areas of the city to kill the vampires. This film could have been just as dramatic as Aliens, Terminator 2, The Matrix, and Spider-man 2 had it been directed differently with better acting and special effects and more human victims.

Ever since Twilight came out (never saw it) I’ve been seeing more and more of the wanna be sexy teen vampires. Now twilight was pushing it 4 me but the vampire diaries on the cw took it too far because they suck! The CW seems to have the same people direct all their shows (or is that how it works cuz idk) and they’re sooooooooo corny on that show! The acting, the special effects………..Smh

Yeah so for my coursework we have to compare the two Vampire films Dracula (1931) and Twilight (2008). Now there is a part in my essay where I have to mention about the effects of each film and how they have developed since the 1930s. I’m tying to think of as many CGI’s and Special Effects that are used in Twilight as possible, this may give me more marks.. Can’t find them anywhere.. so this is kinda my last resort. The only one I can think of is the magic carpet. lol. Well.. thats it. If you can think of Professional names that would help so much more! THANKYOU!

I watched it last night. It wasn’t as scary as I hoped. The special effects and sound effects were awesome and made me jump a few times but as for the plot…it was a pile of shitt. in my opinion. what did you think?

Michael Bay has directed his share of intense acting films so I think at the least the story and the special effects would have been vastly improved upon even if the character development remained shallow. He directed Bad Boys II and Transformers so I think Blade would have been so awesome - the opening scene in the nightclub would have been jaw dropping! I think it would have helped to show the vampire attacking Blade’s mother in the prologue. That would have made the story a bit more touching.

Okay, there special effects are much different. CH in Twilight made the characters look more believably human, like they really weren’t that distinguishable as vampires. I guess that is a good thing. But CW made them so dramatically INhuman. That is more like SM view I guess. CW has the purplish bruises under the eyes and just that….maybe ….dead factor. Which is also a great thing. But I like how you saw the characters in Twilight. They seemed nicer, than raving. But they look great in New Moon. With these exceptions. Carlisle. In New Moon he seems quite creepy, IDK why, he was a very kind, compassionate looking man beforehand. I liked him, now PF is just freaky. Esme. She was a loving, sweet woman in Twilight. You loved that about her. Now in New Moon- unpleasantly enough I hate to say it but my only thought is….a little slutty. The outfit and the eyeliner. She is a MOTHER for crying out loud. That is a big NO-NO! And Bella, she was even more plain in Twilight, but IDK what went on but now she looks so homely. Or maybe that is just the whole part that Bella is supposed to be wrecked and sallow. That probably the most logical explanation. And Edward. RP now…Okay now you now the amout of make-up they put on him. I get the Cullens are pale, but that is just fake. Like they used the whole case of powder just on his face. Jasper…no comment other than he looked better before. Same with Rosalie. Emmett and Alice are really the only one who don’t look bad in any way. Please leave your input!!

Of course he doesn't have another girl cause I've met his family, and went to were he works and at what hours and everything. And I have hes mothers, sisters, grandmas celphone noumber, and even the telephone number of his job. I've spend time enough with him to know that he is a good person. He would never harm me. I'm very sick, I have lupus but he still loves, and takes care of me. He's a good man. And that's why my parents don't take legal action against him, cause ever since he's being in my life hes made me happier and has always loved me. If it wasn't for me I'd probably be depressed like I used to .
And the gothic wedding thing is totally my idea!!! I'm a dark person and I love all things dark and mysterious. He just suggested the date and gave me a few ideas but the gothic part is all mine

Plays,Dracula,Costume,Special Effects

Most movies today are all about special effects. Not so scary sometimes. They create an environment for you when you’re watching the movie, but when you leave, you’re not scared anymore. When is the last time a horror movie scared you for days, or maybe even weeks, after you saw it? Mine is The Ring. But then again, I was 12 or 13.

Limiting the search to Springfield Illinois (internet ONLY if necessary), where would I find a store which sells classic monster movies, on D.V.D. The movies I seek include Bela Lugosi’s Dracula, Lon Chaney’s Wolfman, Claude Rains Invisible Man, and so on? Re-Mastered movies are okay, so long as movie not altered by extra music, special effects, etc. Any suggestions?
