hot topic is basically going to hell…
any gothic clothing stores in the US worth looking at?

Can anyone recommend sites similar to these (and please not Hot Topic)?

I been told this and I think it might be true. I also don’t mean to stereotype but this is how I see it! I think people who shop at American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale are preppy and maybe even stuck up (Not All) but quite a bit and they there better than everyone else and also have money. I realized this isn’t Laguna Beach lol. Where people that shop at Hot Topic are either gothic or emo and heavily into music and maybe a bit strange. Then i guess guys who shop at old navy are either metro or gay but once again (not all). Then i was talking it over with my friend and here’s where nice guys and as well nice girls shop at: places like wal-mart, k-mart, kohls, jc penney’s, sears and target. As much as I hate to admit it. I think my one friend might be right about this question of what I just explained. What’s your opinion?

First of all, I can’t find ANYTHING good at Hot Topic!!

Secondly, I’m looking for things that are goth/emo yet cute, like Kuromi from Hello Kitty, or Skelanimals stuff…the Nightmare before Christmas things are cool too. I need new clothes that match my specific style for my birthday!

PS ya, I’m not a poser cuz I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now, I have some cool clothes already but I’m sick of all my other girly clothes and want something thats really MY style so yah, thanks for the help. ^.^

does hot topic have any real gothic clothes? because tripps are poser goth i dont want to look like a poser goth.

I’ve seen some very "different" types of emo, alternative, indie, and even gothic brands of clothing that I have seen that are very much not from Hot Topic. They just look very different and orignal types of clothing that are technically mainstream kinds.

I would just like to know some lists of these types of clothings.
I normally not really a gothic or emo type of person, but I consider to normally dress not completely mainstream, but I have my own orignal style. I wear what I like and expresses taste. Ranging from band shirts to button up plaid shirts.

And I am not into that much Hot Topic besides the band shirts because I was into that when I was younger but Hot Topic seems so Gothic trash and not really alternative at all.

I live in an area thats mainly rural, and besides Hot Topic, its really the only main alternative type of store I know around here besides something like Pacific Sun.

So any information would be great!

I understand completely what you are saying however you are completely wrong about me. See, I am not any type of real stereotype or whatnot and I do not consider myself "different" or "misunderstood" or any other general cliche that comes with the whole goth/emo appearance.

The only reason I used those words to describe my slight alternative style is because that is basically what society would label me as. However honestly, I would probably be more labeled as "earthy". I just like to find those rare gems of clothing in odd places. I wear whatever I want that makes me feel good, and in that way of doing, It does make me different from most. I do not only wear black or only wear Hollister. In fact, I hardly ever wear the two mentioned. I am just me.
I am a very upbeat, optimistic, searcher type of person. I am very free, and understanding of my surroundings. I do not belive in stereotyping, or believe I am "so different than those around me" or think those who do
I do not think I am "so different than those around me" nor do I pity myself and think I’m so original nor do i think those who don’t dare to be different are below me. Trust me, I am not that type of close-minded naive person.
Even in writing this, it may make me sound gothic but I am very much not. I am very light individual even in my clothing style. Maybe, I will just be myself and find what I want, but I do belive clothing to be a self-expression and that is why I saught these different clothing style because I am a seeker at heart, and live for new things.
It gives people just a slight spark of interest in me, and I let myself do the rest.

I just bought a pair of of Scarecrow vampire fangs from hot topic. but after getting them i remembered that due to a problem with my teeth I have bonding’s on the two teeth I would put the fangs on.

So i was wondering if i would be able to safely be able to use the teeth, or if i should just give them off to a friend.

Like Skelanimals and things, you know, CUTE gothic clothing?? I love that type of stuff, please help!
PS, shopping online is fine with me but I prefer buying them at a store..

My friends and I are filming a vampire movie. We’d like to get realistic looking fangs. We’re not terribly fond of Scarecrow teeth. Somethink like Teeth by Dnash but with a smaller price tag would be nice. Any suggestions.

my dress style is kinda edgy/punkish with elements of gothic influences and in the spring i do wear some bright colors. i usually buy clothes from wet seal and hot topic, but i was wondering what other stores i might like.
note:
i do look at stuff from charlotte russe, forever 21, rue 21, and pac sun in addition to hot topic and wet seal, so suggestions of those stores dont really help much… just saying

I bought fake vampire fangs(Hot topic/scarecrow brand) for my Halloween costume, and followed the directions and everything, but they don’t stay in very well. Is there a certain type of glue I can buy to keep it in without damaging my teeth? I searched and found "Dental adhesive", but I’m still concerned that it would damage my teeth. Or could I use fake nail glue?

Im a very small size for my age. Im 13 around 70 pounds and 4′7". Ive always tried to find (punk/gothic) clothing in my size, ive tried hot topic but with no hope it was all too big for me. Im trying to find something/someplace inexpensive to get clothing. Please help me.

I like this guy at school, and he’s a really funny guy. He used to hang out with me and my friends sometimes. He asked me and my BFF to go to McDonald’s with him, so we did, and we walked there, and when we were walking in the parking lot to the door, he was like, "Oh Madison, you’re mentally challenged, we don’t want you to get ran over by a car", and he started holding my hand, and I started to say, "I’m not mentally challenged", but he was like, "Shh, don’t speak.", and we bought him a soda and fries, and we asked him to sit down with us in the corner, and he ignored us and sat with kids three years older than him, so we ditched him. Then once he asked me to sit on a bench with him, and he was next to his girlfriend, and he started laying his head on me, and his girlfriend looked really upset, so I pushed him off and walked away. In history, we had to sit next to each other, and I started to play with his hair, and he stroked mine back. When we got a new seating chart, I overheard him saying, "Yes! I don’t have to sit next to her anymore! She’s a bitch!". When I sat in my new seat, I began to cry. Then 5 minutes later he sat next to me, and he told me that people told him to apologize to me, so he did. Then he asked me if I needed a hug, so I said yes, and he hugged me. Then he said, "Aw, now you’re going to make me cry." Once me and my BFF were in the mall, and my BFF was like, "Omg theres Chris!", and I was like "omg where?" and she was like, "JK!". She did that like 4 times, until she said it again, and this time she meant it, and when he saw us, he was like, "Oh great.", so we walked away as fast as possible. Then we went in Hot Topic, he was sitting on the bench in front of it, and he followed us in there, and he called ME a stalker. Then he told us to hang out with him. We went up and down the elevator with him until we got in trouble, and then he found his older buddies in the food court, and he said to us, "You guys can go now, BYE!!!" Once, he asked me to dance with him in the hallway randomly, and I said "no", and he started dancing with me, and then he pushed me in the boys bathroom, but I gripped onto the walls before I fell in there. Then he started laughing. Kolton asked him out for me, and he said no. Then Chris came up to me at break, and said, "I changed my mind, I want to go out with you.", and I could totally tell he was joking around, so I said no, and I flipped him off, and then I ignored him, so he walked away. One day, I had one of my friends ask him if he likes me, and he said, "No, but I think she’s pretty…" Then Kolton noticed that I seemed really depressed everyday in history, so I told him what was going on, and he started being mean me to Chris like saying he had fat lips and that he needs to get a life and that he leave me alone and stop treating me like that. I felt better. Kolton continued to make fun of him for me, and once he said, "Leave my girlfriend alone!", and my crush said, "Omg, you and Madison are dating?!?!", and he was like, "DUH!" Then my crush, Chris, came up to me and told me to have Kolton stop making fun of him, and I was like no way. Then one time, he came up to me and said, "Madison, I hate you, and I want you to die. GO KILL YOURSELF!!!!!!!", and I started crying, and he didn’t care. Now it’s winter break, and he randomly texted me "hi", and why would he text me if he hates me? I can’t stop thinking about him. He’s really hyper, weird, and funny just like me! He also likes the same music as me, so I think we would be good for each other. My friend even noticed that we have the same style: checkers, skinny jeans, splats, Vans, stripes, lots of black and purple, Volcum, ect. I heard last year he used to be bi, but he’s not anymore, but he likes things like stuffed animals, Hello Kitty, flowers in his hair, putting his hair in pig tails (he copied me ever since I put my hair in pig tails), and putting bows in his hair. Btw, he talks like a girl, but when I called him one time, he sound normal. Last year he used to be goth, like TOTALLY goth: ALL black, black fingernails, hair, pants, black boots, lots of chains, and he wore a black Gothic rope, and it was summer! Now he says he’s a scene. Also, I drew a unicorn in class, and he took it and added a rainbow, clouds, and flowers, and he gave it back to me. Lol. I don’t know if he likes me as a friend or hates me…What do you think?

Hi. I’m looking for a fairy artist that has been featured alot on hot topic merchandise. I know it is not Amy Brown. None of this artists stuff appears to be on sale right now on Hottopic.com. They use big eyes with a sort of Anime -ish style. She usually uses monocromatic coloring and I believe her stuff is Airbrushed and/or digitally painted. She tends to draw gothic/whimsy/dark fairys. One of my favs is a picture I have on a blanket with a fairy she did as a rose theme. (done in all pink)

Okay, it was fun…at first; pretending to be vampires over the summer the year the Twilight Movie came out… but that was over a year ago, and she still hasn’t dropped the Vampire Persona.
A little background on Vivyan…
-First off– she’s FOURTEEN
-Secondly, she thinks she is an honest-to-blog blood sucking vampire. Not that that’s strange…
-She’s a ginger— not to sound prejudiced or anything– but being a ginger, she gets a lot of stares as it is— not to mention she now parades around the school wearing her wax-in fangs, and making the most horrific faces whenever confronted with direct sunlight, but she refuses to buy school lunch now!— claiming that human food is an insult to her being, and she only drinks "blood powder" which is turned to liquid in her water-bottle. I was sort of freaked out at first, by the color accuracy and viscosity of the blood— but I sniffed some when she wasn’t looking the other day (intelligent thing to do when identifying an unknown substance— that’ll earn me the Nobel Prize) and it smelled suspiciously like Emergen-C ("just-add-water" vitamin powder that tastes a bit like knock off crystal-light).
Well, recently she’s been referring to her house and family as "the coven", and I have won the endearing title of "Fledgling". Jee-thanks-Viv!
Okay, now she has her new boyfriend (a sixteen year old who should know better) playing along too, and it’s gotten really really frustrating, now that I can’t call her by her first name anymore— since I am "her fledgling", I have to call her "MASTER", yes, master. Not only is that totally backward and wrong, but it is totally against logic— seeing as I am in the advanced classes, and will reach working age before she does, and I am more than an inch taller than her— plus she dresses…let’s just say HER AGE and I dress like a thirty year old (says she, since I no-longer wish to shop at hot-topic every Saturday, and tend to go with a less-shocking ensemble— mostly dark colors, admittedly, and I like sweaters and more conservative attire).
I know that this is completely shallow, and two faced to wish, but I WISH SHE WOULD QUIT IT AND GROW THE HELL UP! Okay, I know people will say, "You don’t deserve to be her friend", "how about finding some new friends", and so on…but I’ve tried, I really have, but nothing feels right without her as my best friend— we just know each-other too well, and quite honestly, I’m sort of an odd-ball-out type myself— just in my own introverted way.
So, I’m the nerd who’s guilty pleasure is to snuggle up in bed with a nice Anne Rice (Vampire) Novel.
And she is the insane best friend who is taking it A HUGE STEP TOO FAR!
I’ve tried reasoning with her…and so far, as expected, reasoning doesn’t help.
My argument goes like; "Please, please, please Viv, could you let me call you by your first name? I really would like things to go back to normal now?"
Her response: "Did the Coven Queen just hear the fledgling speaking to her superior in first person? If so, the coven queen shall have to suspend blood drinking privileges for a week, as well as withdraw the ancient texts from the fledgling in question’s possession."

Oh yeah, and the ancient texts…she is actually the owner of the Anne Rice novels, which my mother WONT ALLOW me to read…and Viv is my sole life line! I know it sounds like I’m just using her for book privileges, but I’m really not, and even if I sort of theoretically was, she was the one who showed them to me in the first place, and now she has me totally addicted.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME CONVINCE HER TO DROP THE VAMPIRE ACT BEFORE MY MOTHER FLIPS OUT AND DOESN’T EVEN ALLOW ME TO SEE VIV!

Oh, and another thing… I really need help convincing Viv AND MY MOTHER that she is not in-fact a Vampire.

Yes, you heard me, my mother believes in vampires.

Here is the "evidence" Viv has presented, that I fear has begun to reach my mother’s attention as well:

1.) Viv has a red ring around her left pupil (from birth)
2.) Her average temperature is 97.4 degrees Fahrenheit, and this shows in her super cold hands
3.) She is deathly pale
4.) She always has dark circles under her eyes
5.) She is nocturnal
6.) She was born on Friday the thirteenth
7.) She has sharp teeth, even without the fake fangs
8.) She has always loved the taste of her own blood (the creepy one)

I don’t believe in Vampires. How can I counter this?

Hot Topic is more punk..

Ive given up on pretty much every store in Anchorage, Alaska for the sort of clothing i’m looking for, Hot Topic dosen’t carry anything of my taste anymore though they used to, I suppose i like clothing that is called "Gothic", "Gypsy", or occasionly "Pirate", i like some of the old, rennisance style clothing such as the peasant/barmaid shirts and vests, but i like my pants or shorts to be highwaters (i beleive they’re called) or baggy with big cargo pockets though i could live without the pockets, i like studs and that sort too, but i really like comfort overall.
I don’t expect for clothing like this to be cheap though i’d love for it to be, I like the mystical or weird sort of look without it showing too much though, aka i don’t like short skirts or hot pants, or low cut shirts at all, i can live with shirts that show some stomach though, or back. I also love band shirts for bands that aren’t really popular. I’m sorry that this must sound picky it dosen’t have to be all of this
Some of the shirts on the Antidote site were kind of what i’m looking for, but sorry the other two just aren’t what i like, i was suprised at the prices though, really thanks though Carly

I’ve started going to an awesome goth club on weekends and I’m not really all that goth though. It’s for fun. I’d like to find some gothic apparel but I don’t really like the clothing at Hot Topic and it’s over priced. Could you please post some stores to look for or even online websites of gothic attire?
