what do you think of my story so far?

Her hands were drowned in a red substance the color of wine. It trinkled down her cheeks as she scooped the subtance and drowned it in her mouth. The once irony taste had gone away, and made a new one. She couldn’t describe it, but it was the most deliqte thing she ever tasted, almost like a drug too her. Before she had been made a new being, the scene would be sticky and considered a manslaughter… but her new brain taught her well and told her it was natrual, and infact, a good sign that she was flowing along. She remembered her old life, and how she missed it. Her once white dress was now crimson, they all did this… after millions of years of living like as vampires, someone finnaly figured out how to get it out.
"You have done well," whispered a voice in the dark corner of the room were the candles could not stretch out.
The girl only knew that the voice had to be her creators master. "Master Adon." She stumbled to her aching feet. And bowed, though she could not see him… her eyes hadn’t adjusted, she was still in the proccess of becoming a vampire.
"Blain told me you would be here, you’re almost there, dear Constance." He finnaly came out of the shadows. Adon did not look like dracula, or another vampire. He had a full set of dark brown hair. Though he was one of the oldest in his tribe, Adon looked about 25. His eyes looked like tar spallatered everywhere, or as is each little part of the pupil wanted to go its own way. His skin was as white as snow.
"Master Adon, what shall I have to do now to become, fully completed?" Asked Contance. She trembled with fear.
"Oh my, dear. Repeat to me what you have done already." Constance was shaking. She knew the Master could snap at any time and break her tweasly half-human neck like a tooth pick.
"Well, umm Master Adon. I have only hunted down 1 human, and umm killed him." She shook.
" This, young man, what was his name? Tis’ you track down his family and personal life?"
"Yes, Master. His name was, was William Johnson. He did have a wife, and a daughter." She felt a tear fall down her cheek. "He was at the addresse Blain gave me!" She screeched as she began to bawl. Adon ran so fast to her, that he looked as if he was floating. Constance fell to her knees. He held her chin up and looked at her angrily. "Why does Blain WASTE his time hunting for pathetic humans like YOU!" He slapped her. Her cheek stung.
"Im- so sorry, m-m-master." She whispered as she wiped off her cheeks ith the sleeve of her dress.
"Well… To inform you, you only have one more task… and that is to kill a female. You must find her yourself though. Blain must not tell you who you can go to. Tis I who will be watching you, young Constance. Choose wisely, and this time, do not waste one tear on the humans." He kissed her cheek and let go of his fierce grip on her chin. Constance looked at the body of William. She remembered his wife, who he had told her was Mary. His daughter was Elizabeth. She had tricked him inside with money. She had told him she had seen him on the streets begging for change, so Constance told him to come in so she could give him the extra money. The foolish man did, and now he lays on the floor with his neck bitten into. This hadn’t even been where Constance lived. She dragged the body into a closet and cleaned up the blood with some water from the well in the back. She occasionally couldn’t help herself, as bent down and licked the extra blood.

Thank you- Hannah
Oh and I want to be a writer when I grow up, I have been writing my whole life and I am between the ages of 11-13

Any good fiction books out there?

I have read (and liked) the following books:
Impossible - Nancy Werlin
Speak and Wintergirls - Laurie Halse Anderson
The Immortals series - Alyson Noel
Twilight Saga (Ya ya haters I get it…you hate it! Don’t care!) and The Host - Stephanie Meyer
Kissed by an Angel (kinda liked this one) - Elizabeth Chandler
The Maze Runner - James Dashner
Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras series - Scott Westerfeld (almost, never got Extras :( )

The books on my reading list (which I lost!) that I can remember:
Secret Circle Series - L.J. Smith (not interested in Vampire Diaries sorry…)
Annals of the Western Shore series - Ursula K. Le Guin
City of Bones/The Mortal Instruments series (I like series, can you tell?) - Cassandra Clare

Not into classics, like Dracula, but relatively any fiction. If they are somewhat older it might be helpful so I don’t have to buy them…my library is poorly stocked. But if they are newer that’s fine!

the attempts made have been, at best, campy, or so far removed from the original story that they are just credited to have "inspired" the movie. but there are so many great stories out there - and lets face it; modern horror movies are crap. they’re entirely too focused on shock and gore, whereas classic movies like "dracula", "frankenstein" and "the closet of dr. caligari" were unavoidably creepy. every once in a while a movie like "shadow of the vampire" or "28 days later" comes along and gives me hope, but for the most part modern horror movies languish in their pretentious lame-ness. make a movie like "the case of charles dexter ward" or "at the mountains of madness", even "herbert west - reanimator", done faithfully to their original stories would be great. i’d love to see them. i have some of the h.p. lovecraft film festival independent short films that have been made, and they’re fun, but the small budgets hinder what they could have been.
the problem with modern movies is they think they have to show the creature - older movies were (and are) more psychologically scary because you don’t see the murder, the blood, the monster… even in a movie like "ronin" (which i loved), you don’t ever find out what’s in the briefcase. although i’m sure there’s plenty of people out there who have to know, i don’t feel it’s very important to the story. nor do you HAVE to see the monster.

What is the best vampire novel ever?

It can be a series or just one book. Some of the choices…
The Vampire Chronicles
Vampire Academy
Dracula
Twilight
Vampire Kisses
House of Night
Blue Bloods
The Vampire Diaries
Peeps
The Silver Kiss
Night World
The Southern Vampire Mysteries

…Those are the only series/books I can think of right not, but of course it doesn’t have to be one of those.

For me, I’d probably have to say Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles.
Sarahbeth120, I said it doesn’t have to be on the list.

When i was 9-10 i saw 18-16 horror movies and didn’t change my life and there was classic horror movie like Poltergeist,Shining Halloween and Dracula and i was scared but not frightening.
Come on kids now more about violence and sex than me who i am 20 year old,but saw thousands of movies and not even one change my life i can watch any kind of movie and not feel sick maybe i am weird.
I know the kids must be protect, but come on brink back the 80′ in movies and horror.
My first xxx movie was at 14 year old.

Ideas for a vampire costume?

My school has a halloween dress down day and I wanted to be a vampire. Not the crazy "Dracula" vampire, but a subtle "Twilight" vampire. Does anyone know what I should wear?
Also, I really don’t like the big bulky vampire teeth:
I just wanted simple caps:
So does anyone know where I can find them for cheep? Obviously a Costume store, but I haven’t seen any in the "Halloween Adventure".
I spelled cheap wrong, hahaha.

My question is…. what did they call coins in the 1800’s in England?

Also wiill you review my story so far?

In the house of the Hilla’s, up the stairs, Consance was sitting in her room with her best friend, Abigail. They were talking about Abigails ereanged husband, Edward. "So, you have met Edward before?" Asked Consance. "Well of course! I demanded it to my mum, and she talked to Edwards mum and father about it, they agreed that we should see! It was only once for one day, of course, but I knew mum chose the ran man for me. Oh he is so handsome! He is the most handsome thing I have ever laid my eyes on!" Abigails British accent rung out, unlike Consance’s regular American. Her parents made her move to England for no reason, they just went and dragged her with them. But if it hadn’t been for that, she would have never met Anigail or James. "So, I have done all the talking, how is you’re arrangment going, I bet you’rer going to love Micheal!" Said Abigail. Concanse flinched. "Well, I have something to tell you… and its not good." Abigail sat straither and ran her hands trough her dress. "Well… my Mother and father have arranged me and Micheal to get married… but before that, I fell in love." Abigail gasped, "Who!" Consance frow

Two nuns came out of the chruch mass and after a lot of prayer and ceremonies felt cleansed and ready for a new year. They both got into a car and start to drive back to the monastery and while driving through the country side of trannsylvania Count Dracula jumps onto the hood of the car looking mighty hungry and starts jumping.
The nun in the front seat looks nervous but the nun driving isnt.

Nun driving: Stay calm, I know exactly what to do…

Nun 2: Yes, sister, show him your cross quickly! He’ll go away and you’d be doing good for the new year.

But instead or flashing her cross to the count, the nun driving the car rolls down the window and toots on the horn, she stuck her head out and yelled " Get of my FU*king car you b*stard!!!"

What do you think the nun could have done differently to get rid of dracula?

My favourite films are: Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Mary Reilly, Apocalypto, Labyrinth, Interview With The Vampire.

Any suggestions of other films that I might enjoy?

eyeteeth that extend below the rest of your teeth (sort of like dracula, but not so long). I have noticed that a lot of people with Gemini Moon or Rising have them. I’m a gemini moon and sun, and i have them.

I’m thinking of mysteriously resurrecting Dracula, but how to do so, I don’t know.
And I’m thinking of having Quincey Morris bitten by Lucy in a dream before he died in the battle at Castle Dracula, thus, turning him into a vampire after his death.
So now, there are two threats. The reborn Count Dracula and Quincey Morris.
In my fanfic, Arthur Holmwood is dying and Van Helsing has long since passed away, so he passes on the "tools of the trade" to his son and Jonathan Harker and Dr. Seward’s sons.
Plus he gives the young Quincey Harker (Jonathan and Mina’s son) Jonathan and Mina’s diaries–which they have kept secret from their sons for a long time, along with a long-forgotten note from Quincey Morris before he dies–a note warning them of his possible return.
How do I mysteriously resurrect Dracula and have Lucy bite Quincey Morris in a dream without angering the original Bram Stoker fans?
Now, how do I tie it all together?
Any ideas?
And feedback, please? Is this fanfic writable?

What books would be good for me?

I liked the hunger games, twilight, the wake series, i am reading Shiver (by maggie stiefvater) and so far i like that, and I’m planning to read Dracula.
So, anything with romance or something that is a real page turner. Thanks in advance :)

This is my book review?

This is my first book review so please don’t be very harsh.
I would love feedback
Thank you (:

The Vampire is Just Not That Into You
Written by Vlad Mezrich
Published by Scholastic
Rating 4/5
“The Vampire is Just Not That Into You” written by Vlad Mezrich, is a comical piece of literature loaded with the top tips on how to keep your vampire away from other necks. Sink your teeth in humorous pictures, interesting facts and quirky tests that will have you in stitches. This book is directed to vampire fans- those who swoon over old-school Dracula or newly popular Edward Cullen, brimming with self-help on human to vampire relationships. Personally, I found the book a bit overwhelming at the beginning, however, as I plunged deeper I began to enjoy it immensely, chuckling at the witty quizzes like “are you addicted to dating the undead” and “are you really the kind of girl he wants to sink his fangs into?”. A great read that impressed me, and I believe it deserves 4/5.
awhthanks :)

Did Bram Stoker TOTALLY COPY Twilight?

I think he did. Maybe he intended Dracula as Twilight fan fiction? What do you guys think of this?
Sorry, I mean to say Twilight and the Vampire Diaries.
Wait, you guys mean that Stephenie Meyer was born AFTER Bram Stoker?!

Im sure many of us have seen the movies, especially one with Gary oldman.

It was the dark days of the 15th century as Mongol Turks inspired with their new found Islamic religion are sweeping into Eastern Europe with vast and unprecedented force.

They strike at the heart of Christian orthodoxy in Kosovo and Transylvania, but only one Romanian noble man named Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia stands in their way

So why is the Count Dracula vilified? Surely he was trying to save Eastern Europe from the torment of enduring the next 500 years of Islamic rule?

So do you think Bram Stoker (Irish writer) needs to have his work updated and put Dracula in a positive light?

Surely how many of you now would accept a Mongol army of savages ripping through your street, raping, looting, burning, cutting of hands and heads of people and making you bend down and kneel towards their god?

Or being made to go hungry when they do that thing, or being forced to pay tax?

not I.

What are some really good vampire books?

I HATE Twilight but I love Cirque du Freak, the Vampire Chronicles and Dracula. What are some other good vampire books?

I’ve seen hundreds of Dracula films. im sure many of you have also.
But all the time the story is set always in a dark cold European country e.g victorian London, Transylvania or with snow etc…

This allows the Count to dress up in a nice long black coat or a long black cape. This infact helps create that "gothic" dark look

But just imagine instead of Europe or even during a hot European summer in his native Romania what would he be wearing?

I mean normally when its hot in England i bring out my tee shirts, shorts, sandals, cap sunglasses etc..

But what would Count dracula be forced to wear if he was living in a hot humid country or even summer?

He cant wear a cloak or a coat can he?? So would he come out at night wearing a tee shirts and glasses and mosquitto repellent? I mean he would surely look ridicolous if he did wouldnt he??

I love Vampire books. You know any good ones?

And yes i know Anne Rice, Stephen King and Bram Stokers Dracula. And i love Poppy Z. Brite’s book Lost Souls, if you know any similar books..?

Good books that are written well?

I like books that have a plot that’s kind of a mystery and are full of surprises. I like all kinds of books (even non-fiction.) If it’s non-fiction then I’d like it to be about something really cool (like urban legends and stuff- maybe even some early theories.) I do like reading about Count Dracula and ancient gods. I like reading about almost anyhting! Just make sure it has an interesting plot, good language use, and some interesting facts or twists and turns in the plot! But I’m not that picky- just make sure it’s a good book! Please.

:)

i have seen interview with a vampire, underworld, underworld evolution, twilight, bram stroker’s dracula, vampire hunter D, queen of the damned, van helsing, dracula 2000….. are there any other vampire-human romance movies? please let me know

Some good films I can watch?

I’m 18 and I am after some good films to watch. I like stuff like Tim Burton films, The good films made from Stephen King books (not crap like the Pet Sematary film) Dracula, Older films such as Breakfast at Tiffanys and Marilyn Monroe films and Pulp Fiction. Any suggestions?
I love the Shawshank redemption:D

What are some good Vampire movies?

AND NOT TWILIGHT! That film pisses me off..
I want to watch some good Vampire flicks. nothing from the 70s or earlier, something more recent (not any Dracula’s either)
I’ve seen the Lost Boys which rocked.

So any ideas? Thanks =]]

is dracula by bram stroker a novel or non fiction book?

Suggestions for classic gothic "horror" novels?

I really enjoy reading the classics, particularly the darker, supernatural, gothic ones. I’ve read Frankenstein, Dracula, Polidori’s Vampyre, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and tons of Poe’s works. Are there any other classic novels that you guys can think of that I might be interested in? I’m finishing The Picture of Dorian Gray today, and I was wanting to start thinking about another one. Thanks!

I was thinking about The Turn of the Screw…
