Hello, I am 13 and I am wondering if there are any books I would be interested in.
I love Harry Potter, The Chronicles Of Narnia,and The Lord of the rings.
I detest vampire love novels like twilight or any of those newer published books all about vampires in an attempt to copy twilight.
So Please give me suggestions!
I also Love The Princess Diaries, and Warriors Series.

My friend and I are young novelists. We enjoy writing and have started various stories. They have grown over time and now, we are considering publication. But first, we are looking for constructive criticism. This here is part of my friend’s story. This is not mine. All credit goes to my friend! It is a vampire love story.

Chirp. Chirp. Chirp. I glanced out the window of my bedroom and there was a mother red robin feeding worms to her baby chicks. I felt a sharp pang of envy. The babies had a family to care for them, I don’t. I haven’t seen my family for 200 years when they banished me. I tried with all my might not to think about that dreadful day. But the memory just played anyway…

“Mother, father. May I speak with you in the parlor?” I had asked. My mother, writing in her journal, and my father, reading his book, stopped what they were doing and followed me.
“What is it Julianna?” my father said. The candlelight made my parents look even paler than they already were. They glowed with a deathly paleness in the sun, but in the shadows, it was worse. My mother’s emerald eyes, shone with curiosity, but said nothing.
“As you know, tomorrow I will turn eighteen years of age. I wish you to change me into what you are. A vampire.”
They, with my older brother, Jonathan, had been born vampires, but I was born as an average human. The reason why is unclear.
“Julianna, you do not know what you are asking us to do. You do not fully comprehend what your father and I must do to make you one of us. You don’t know what you’ll have to do to survive once you are a vampire,” my petite mother explained as she toyed with her long, golden locks of hair. As she said this, she never looked up from the floor. Walking over to her and resting my hand on her shoulder, I said.
“But I do not care. I am tired of being excluded and treated as if I am a mutant in my own home,” I whispered. “Please Mother, I will not ask for anything ever again.” She looked up, glanced at my father, and said.
“Go to bed. We will discuss this in the morning.”
Obeying orders, I went to my room and dreamt of being accepted by my family as a vampire.
Sometime in the night, Jonathan walked in.
He shook me awake and said, “What did they say?”
I found myself immersed in Jonathan’s appearance, much like our father’s. They both have straight, dark brown hair that brushed their ears. They have turquiose eyes, the same straight, broad nose, a similar square jaw, but Jonathan’s was a little rounded from my mother.
I look like my mother’s twin. We both have long blond hair that shone like gold. We both have emerald eyes and petite in every way. But what my entire family had, and what I didn’t, was skin the color of death and a thin blood-red ring around their pupils. I told Jonathan, “Mother said we’d discuss it further in the morning.”
He grunted and nodded. Jonathan and I were as close as a pair of Siamese twins. We knew everything about each other. But he did not understand why I wanted to be a vampire and give up my life as a human, though I have explained it to him many times.
“You do realize that you have to kill to stay alive once you’re a vampire, right?” Jonathan said. I sat up, crossed my legs, and said.
“No I won’t. If I have the amount of self-control I think I do, I will only have to take a little blood from animals. What is the difference between human blood and animal blood? Blood is blood no matter the source.”
Jonathan shook his head and said, “Human blood has a stronger scent, a better taste, and gives you more of an appetite. Animal blood doesn’t. Some of the older vampires say that rare humans have a power in their blood to quench our thirst forever, but no one has discovered this to be true. That is why we drink human blood. Julianna, if you do not kill on your first hunt, Mother and Father will banish you.”
I understood the dangers of being a newborn vampire. The constant appetite for blood, the sharpened senses. But after a few days, you get used to it.
“But maybe they’ll understand my decision. I don’t want to live forever knowing I was responsible for so many deaths and have a guilty conscience. Jonathan, you’ve lived as a vampire your whole life. You’ve been accepted by Mother and Father already. They say they love me no matter if I’m a human or not. But I can tell in their eyes that they don’t and they never will if I don’t do this.” I said.
“You’re right. I should go back to bed. Let me know what Mother and Father say in the morning. Goodnight Julianna.” He said.
“Goodnight, my brother.” I whispered as he closed the door.

Chapter 1

“Ooh! Look at this one,” Alex exclaimed happily. I looked at the pair of shoes she was holding up. They were pink with yellow polka dots. Not my style at all. “Those are nice!” I said sarcastically. “Yeah… They would suit you well.” Rena, added. “I happen to like them.” Gretchen said. “Katlin, I know you want that book but you could at least say things like you mean it.” Alex said. It was Saturday afternoon and we were shopping for our back to school clothes. I was ok with the clothes shopping but my main reason for wanting to go was to get the latest book in this vampire romance series I like. “Sorry, it’s just I’ve been waiting for so long! They’re so amazing you would have thought a real vampire wrote them!” I said in my happy voice. “Oh dear, look what you did! Now we won’t hear the end of it until she gets the book.” Rena said, pretending to be upset. I gave her my, be quiet or I’ll kill you look but then laughed. “Hah! You can never keep a straight face when you look at me!” She declared, victoriously. I wasn’t paying attention anymore because I started thinking about J.K. the author of The Darkest Hour series. (A.k.a. the vampire series I love so much) “See we lost her! Just go and get your book already. Meet us at the food court at 1:15.” Rena said. I quickly came back from my vampire world at the last part of Rena’s sentence. “Ok! Catch up with you later!” I said, practically running out of the store.
After walking a few minutes I finally reached my destination, the book store. I walked inside trying to hide my excitement. I walked up to the counter and waited for the clerk to help me. “May I help you?” he asked. “Yes, my name is Katlin Reynolds and I’m here to pick up my reserved copy of the fifth book in The Darkest Hour series.” “Just one moment please.” He answered. I stood there, tapping my foot impatiently. “Here it is,” he said after looking for a few minutes, “that will be twenty dollars please.” I pulled out my wallet and took out twenty bucks. “Here you go” I said as I gave him the money. “Thanks, come again.” He said. Man, I hate how they have that stupid script they have to follow. It gets so annoying. I started thinking about the book I had just gotten. I can’t wait to start reading it!! All of a sudden, I walked into something no wait someone! My bag with the book in it fell to the ground and so did I. I looked up at the person I had just walked into. Dark black hair, blue eyes, and really pale. I just stared at the punk beauty before me. That didn’t stop me from being pissed. “Are you all right?” he asked, putting his hand out. I just glared at him and stood up by myself. “I’m fine.” I said, annoyed. He bent down and picked the bag up and the book. He looked at it with interest. “You like the series?” he asked. “And this matters because?” I asked really pissed off now. He started to look annoyed and he should be. I can take care of myself. “Fine then.” He said and he walked away, looking pissed now and more annoyed then he was before. Now I started to feel bad. Damn, I always do this. Why can’t I just accept someone’s offer to help for once?!?! Ring! Ring! Ring! My cell phone went off and I looked at the caller ID. It was Alex, “Yeah?” I said, now upset. “You’re late, where are you?” she asked. “I’m still at the book store, sorry. Be right there.” I hung up before she could say more.

I watched her walk hastily away from the book store to where ever she was late to. What just happened back there? No one has ever talked to me like that before. This made me really mad that I let her do that. Hell, one more minute talking to her and she would have found out about what I am because I was a second away from breaking that little neck of hers. I started walking towards the mall exit. “Hey dude, wait for me!” I stopped and turned to look at Drew. “What happened to meeting up in a half an hour.” He asked angrily. “Sorry, I was trying to help someone for god only knows why and what does she do? Acts like a total bitch.” “Really? Did you show her who’s boss?” he asked with curiosity. I debated on whether I should tell him that I let her basically walk all over me . I decided it wouldn’t hurt seeing as how I would never see her again. “No.” I said. “Why didn’t you?” he asked honestly confused. “I don’t know, it was really weird.” We started walking in silence. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. God, she made me so mad and I don’t even know her name! Thank God, I’ll never see her again.

i know that im talking about vampire and obviously there will be simularities, i love vampires far before twilight and vampire diaries, and i never cared to argue about it. but i just wanna set those stupid crazied twlight fan straight. this is far too many simularities for just too books to have. and vd came out 1991 twlight came out 2005.
- instead of killing or drinking blood from a human both stefan and edward drink from animals
- stefan and edward both look alike
- both stefan and edward attend highschool which is not very common for vampires
- both series have a psychic (alice and bonnie)
- i know that vampire diaires has the ring that protect them but leaving that aside my basic point is that they both can go in the sun (in buffy there was a simiualr ring too)
- both had simiular senerios when they both did the eye glamour thing to the receptionist in the schools office.

ps. i know both plot go different directions but im just mainly talking about what is simular between the too.

I like fantasy,history based books. I’ve read the Inheritance Cycle(Eragon etc.) Inkheart Series, Lord of the Rings Trilogy,Vampire Academy Series,all of Dan Browns books, The Odyssey, and The Illiad recently. So I’d appreciate any suggestions.

Okay, so I struggled through Twilight (Yeuch!) and I’ve read The Vampire Diaries and the Sookie Stackhouse novels, and I just can’t work out why all these vampires seem to fall for teenage girls!

I mean, these are supposed to be vampires who’ve been around for 100+ years. Wouldn’t they be looking for something a little deeper than could be provided by 17 year old girl? And I’m not talking about sex here but simple things like a decent conversation?

Maybe I’m being too cynical, or trying to read something into these books that just isn’t there, but the fact that these old beings who have (on average) over a century of life experience are falling head over heels for 16 year olds really doesn’t ring true to me.

Im not looking for the one with the French actress. The movie I am looking for is about a girl who doesnt know, but has a coffin with vampire in her house. My girlfriend told me last night that she wants to cut me with a razor & suck my blood. I’m f’ing terrified of the thought… pain + open wounds doesn’t sound very awesome from my standpoint.

She has been the most decent, stable and kind woman I’ve ever dated, and out of the blue she suggests this. I was very shocked but didn’t want to overreact, so I tried to joke my way out of it by saying "yeah, how about you let me suck your blood first" to which she replied that I could when she had her period…. at which point i realized she wasn’t joking at all… she had a stern look on her face.

she said she got the idea from her goth friends who are into the vampire thing, but for the life of me I can’t wrap my head around this one. i let it rest over night but then today she asked me about it again and is being very insistent… i said I wasn’t interested and it sounded dangerous, and she got pissy and went home… very confused I was about to buy a ring at Zales but now this

If I ever become a wrestler, I think this would be the perfect character for me to play(based on my own view of my personality).

What he looks like -

The character would kind of be modeled after Kevin Thorn except he wouldn’t be a vampire and he wouldn’t wear stuff like this to the ring.

He would have hair like CM Punk’s: just long enough to hit the shoulders, not in his face and it’s black. He also has a really thin goat tee that covers his upperlip, goes down the sides of his mouth and cover his chin. Oh, I’m a white guy, by the way.

His ring attire would be black pants like what Edge wears, but no design, and when he’s walking to the ring, he has one of things on that Charlie Haas used to wear.

Except this guy’s would be black and red instead of white and blue and the red part would be shaped in a different design. (By the way, if you can’t tell or don’t know, the thing only goes down to his waste)

As soon as the weired thing at the very beginning of the song hits, the lights go down and the arena is pitch black. Everytime we hear the piano a different light flashes white somewhere(it might be one pointing into the audience, it might be one shining down at the ring or one poiting right at him).

By the time the piano part at the beginning is done, he’s standing at the top of the stage with his head down. When the music picks up, he looks up and starts walking down to the ring.

No entrance video.

And maybe if he’s in a main event at WrestleMania, Linkin Park could do a special, live performance of the song.

Moves -
He would do a lot of moves that current wrestlers do now, but with one common difference you’ll notice in the description of the moves.

1. This move is like the Attitude Adjustment, only instead of the guys stomach being on his shoulders, it would be his back

2. Green Bay Plunge - Again, the back is over his shoulders, not the stomach

3. Celtic Cross - Just like the others, when he falls backwards the guys stomach hits the ground, not his back

Of course the moved would be named differently.

right i’ve been having this re-occouring dream since i was 5 (at the time i had no idea what vamps were) but i was being attacked by a man with immence speed and strength that bites me very deeply and i die this was in daylight but the moon was out and very strong, most of the time i wake up after this but sometimes it carrys on and i spend weeks in pain and become his mate? not in a sexual way. its not like that at all, it scard me deeply when i was a child but now the whole vampire things really populer and televised, ive read most of the people saying that they dont exisit because the body cant take it. but lets close a few loose ends here, these people who drink blood and shit and "claim to be vamps" are obviously fakers why would any real vamp admit to what they are? they proberly disgust there selfs (i would) but the fastenation is still there, there is a scientific aspct that the human body cant live on blood, but lets get one thing straight vampiers arnt living? hmmm id love to believe they exisit but i am a scientist, and i cant find any evidence no unexplained deaths where blood is drained from body or nothing. maybe im not looking hard enough, but since i was a little girl ive just wanted to find out the truth as this effected me a great deal

im not trying to say im phycic at all not at all but i do have unexplained things like i dreamt about my boyfriends house and living there before id even met him! i new when my sister went into labour and i always know when the phones about to ring i freak people out a little as i always pick it up about 3secods before it rings! i dont know if this has anything to do withit but my great great grandfather was a pagan preacher and his daughter was a practising which, she claimed to see the futor but not wands and weird things like that she made potions for people ( like the herbal things u can now get from stores)

i think, i may need help can anyone talk to me about these bizare things? i want evidence and fact not freaks

ill look forward to hearing from u hmm i feel like you dont get what im asking im not saying vamps drink blood, and for one there classed as dead, so digestive systems etc dont matter, and evolution suggests our bodys can change, like ive read about a girl with 4 legs and 4 arms, just because hollywood protray about killers and rubbish doesnt mean thats real. and myths can be changed over time, just look at the bibal rubbish but probs started with basis of truth, but more onto the point im more interested about my dreams and intuition
