I’m just curious about how many of you know the movie. If you do, is there any particular scene which sticks in your memory. For the record, I think it is an often overlooked horror classic but I don’t automatically expect anyone else to agree.

the attempts made have been, at best, campy, or so far removed from the original story that they are just credited to have "inspired" the movie. but there are so many great stories out there - and lets face it; modern horror movies are crap. they’re entirely too focused on shock and gore, whereas classic movies like "dracula", "frankenstein" and "the closet of dr. caligari" were unavoidably creepy. every once in a while a movie like "shadow of the vampire" or "28 days later" comes along and gives me hope, but for the most part modern horror movies languish in their pretentious lame-ness. make a movie like "the case of charles dexter ward" or "at the mountains of madness", even "herbert west - reanimator", done faithfully to their original stories would be great. i’d love to see them. i have some of the h.p. lovecraft film festival independent short films that have been made, and they’re fun, but the small budgets hinder what they could have been.
the problem with modern movies is they think they have to show the creature - older movies were (and are) more psychologically scary because you don’t see the murder, the blood, the monster… even in a movie like "ronin" (which i loved), you don’t ever find out what’s in the briefcase. although i’m sure there’s plenty of people out there who have to know, i don’t feel it’s very important to the story. nor do you HAVE to see the monster.

A "love" story between kids (12 yrs old or so) where the boy is a vampire and the girl likes blood? I think it’s pretty recent. In a different language. Possibly French.
Not Twilight.
What is the title? Thanks

These are the three possible plot options;
1) Colin Farrel playing a psychotic and sadistic daywalker that likes drinking blood, as well as torture his victims, so naturally Blade has to off him.
2) Christian Bale playing an even more frightening, this time exceedingly icy hearted daywalker, who, incidentally, is the most powerful member of vampire ranks that is, setting it up so that vampire society was secretly ruled by a daywalker over the past 50 years, and Blade kills him.
3) Mekhi Phifer playing a daywalker that is neither good or bad, and is on no one’s side, an angry, if dangerous "youthful" daywalker who never had any guidance the way Blade did in the form of Whistler. That is a daywalker forced to drink blood to survive and all that.
Of those 3 plots and actors, which would you prefer? Cast your votes!

i have just recently watched paranormal activity and although i think it was amazing it didnt scare me or creep me out…
i am more scared by classic films b/c they dont use any of the modern techniques to scare you that are just pathetic.
Me and some friends are planning a Halloween horror movie party but i cant think of any movie that is scary enough.
i have a few options and if you have any opinions on them or any other suggestions plz post them.
1.Rosemary’s Baby
2.The Exorcist
3.Session 9
4.Jacob’s Ladder

Mine is the closing of the mirror, usually in the bathroom, and the killer shows up right in the mirror behind the victim. Its classic and works in so many movies.

Does anyone know the name of a vampire movie from maybe the late 60’s to early 90’s (max)? The plot consisted of a movie crew filming a vampire movie then something happened to the star so they had to replace him, but without their knowing they hired an actual Vampire instead and I think he started killing members of the crew and developed a thing for the female co-star.

Was it Underworld (2004) that set this new found hype about bloodsuckers in motion or was it something earlier?

It’s not the movies themselves which made them classic it was the actors/actresses, the music or The Director. So by remaking them, how can ya catch the genuine feeling people have, if ya take what made those movies good away?
Lately we’re supposed to sympathise for the killers as latest dull barrage from Hollywood seems to say.
These movies will never bring same fear, and when people realize this… will it be too late?

I’ve found this clip named ‘Vampire ask’ on Youtube ( HERE : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3olAZmmE3hw ) and it’s not indicated which film or TV series it comes from. Just really wanna know as it’s not from any of the films I’ve watched and it appears to be something "I don’t know". Anyone know the name of the film?
( the guy in it really reminds me of Justin Timberlake and the girl does have a diva look. Meh…and poor me…I don’t know them :\ )

I’m going to a very important gala and the theme is black & white masquerade. I’m looking for a Twilight or vampire-esque inspired black or white evening gown. Sort of Gothic period inspired. NOT A COSTUME, an evening gown. And nothing specifically from the Twilight film. I still have awhile until I have to buy, so I’m still just browsing, but I would prefer not to spend over ,500 USD. Any suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I have seen many movies (classic / recent) which are called "Horror" , yet I was surprised with their (It’s a movie atmosphere) and I’m a person who watches movies like (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)) and call it (thriller) , yet horror free . So I don’t get touched easily . The only movie that I really felt I’m living is (The Exorcist "original") and maybe (The Changeling) and (Rosemary’s Baby) and I’m looking for a movie (Jacob’s Ladder) Tim Robbins star that I heard good . Now , if there are movies that are really reality horrifying , especially the old ones cause I’m not into nowadays lame stuff gore teenage movies , please list them for me and I’ll check if I know them or if I don’t , then I’ll seek them … Thanks .

by things like vampires, werewolves, witches, wizards, knights of old…etc.
i want to know what makes it so appealing, for example i know people use the ‘mystical realm’ as an escape from other things in the real world but what are some other reasons?

I want to watch a horror movie, but I don’t know which to watch. I’m looking for something modern (because let’s face it, most older horror movies are really lame). But if it’s a good classic movie that truly is scary, then suggest it (i.e. The Exorcist).
Fk you John. If you’re tired of these questions, don’t fking read them. Simple as that. A$$hole.
And another thing… who the hell are you to tell me to go and watch a movie at the theater? What if there are no movies there I want to watch. I checked your profile and you’ve got some sort of stick up you a$$ about people asking about watching movies. Get a life.
