Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead

What I really love about those series is the fact that they have a lot of humor, there’s action, there’s romance, and vampires. I’ve also read the Twilight series, Richelle Mead’s Succubus Blues series, a lot of young adult books and etc (in the middle of reading Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs and am not really that into it) but don’t love them as much as the VA series and the NH(<3) series. However, I’m really liking the adult books more. So, if anyone has any reccomendations on adult books with vampires, humor, sexy vampire guys (like Bones & Dimitri!), and LOTS of romance, that’d be great! Kick butt heroines like Rose & Cat are cool, too.

I want to be scary but sexy. If that is possible. I was thinking about a vampire but I’m not sure how to pull that off.

I see romance novels the equivalence to men’s porn… You tell ME the difference but I don’t see one…

Porn for women: A really attractive and dominating man who desires nothing more than to pursue and love an average woman and does everything in his power to satisfy her "needs" while protecting her. This man NEVER rejects the woman and her physical flaws and lusts over the woman by giving her extreme pleasure, often by force. These men are often portrayed by Vampires because everyone knows Vampires aren’t real… Regardless if they are real or not, women still hunt for this type of attention.

Porn for men: A really attractive and passive women who desires nothing more than to play with a man’s penis in every way possible until the guy "finishes" and satisfy his every "needs". This woman NEVER rejects the man and his pervertedness and lusts over the man by giving in to his extreme pleasures, especially ones she’s forced to do. These women are normally portrayed by a size 0 woman that never takes her high heels off because men know these women don’t real… Regardless if they are real or not, men still hunt for this type of attention.

The fact is: Men are for Lust, Women are for Love…. Go ahead and argue your point but I don’t see a difference…

i’m trying to ind this vampire book, and for the life of me, i cannot figure it out. i read it maybe a year ago, i don’t believe it’s too dated.
it wasn’t part of a continuing series, im pretty sure it was stand alone.
not sure if it falls under the paranormal romance or erotica section, or something like that.

the only things i can remember about it are that the main male character is a vampire, and he’s british (pretty sure) and the main female character is a police officer or part of a swat task force sort of thing.
and her partner has the hots for her as well.

at the beginning of the book the swat team are staking out the vampire where he brought a woman to the beach. he lets the woman go and tackles the swat chick into the sand. i believe the cops are staking him out because there’s a vampire serial killer on the loose, and they thought he was it.
so the vampire and the cop team up to try and catch the real vampire serial killer.
the vampire also stays at the woman’s house while they’re trying to find the killer.
and a sort of torn between the enigmatic vampire or her sexy partner ensues.

if anyone has ANY ideas about what book this might be i would love to know!

I tend to think Succubus/Incubus are among the sexiest. Vampires are too but…a little over done.

After I read Bram Stroker’s, Dracula, I did not feel that vampires are sexy. No doubt those bites hurt a lot and the fact that after the puncture, the vampire is inclined to suck one’s blood. That can’t be good.
I don’t suppose being attacked by a vampire is like a mosquito sucking on your flesh. I think it would be more like a dog sinking its teeth into your flesh, snarling and sucking your blood.
You know, that’s the strange thing: Victims of vampire bites hardly ever seem in pain, just this hypnotic trance state before the bite. that’s unrealistic.

Okay so there was this movie from the 90’s called "Bloodthirsty" featuring Monique Parent and Julie Strain, about these two Lesbian Nouveau-Vampires (all the blood lust no powers or fangs). One would accept rent payment from the other in the form of blood letting. Then the drainee became addicted to the drainer and this whole love triangle thing starts to happen and people who get in their way die. Anyways, there is a scene in the movie where one of them is auditioning for this band and they play a song called "Funeral Train" and from what I can remember the credits listed them as "Scat Nasty". Three or four times a year I try to find info on this band and obviously I get the most disgusting web pages ever. So I am enlisting the help of the masses. If anyone knows anything about them and can relay the information back to me then please do. I have been trying for years to get an mp3 of that "Funeral Train" song. T I A.

ok so im writing a story and i cant seem to come up with some names for my vampire boys…..i really like weird names like wrath, phury, rhage. But i cant seem to come up with moods/emotions like that, that i can name the boys with. i dont want regular names. i already have come up with stryke, bhlaze and rhyder. i need 3 or 4 more names. Its for my story I’m writing. In I’m story, its supposedly bad luck to have Psychometry because you get hunted by dentibus because their blood is a lot sweeter than others. A Dentibus (Latin word for teeth) is a large half man half wolf like creature, but its got the blood lust of a vampire.
