Okay basically what I am looking for is adult non-Twilight suggestions of good and fun vampire books. I’ve read all of Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, and MaryJanice Davidson. I’m looking for something more along the lines of the Last Two than the first two. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I’m an author - I won’t say how old, you’ll only laugh - and have completed a novel about vampires and I’ve heard a rumor that agents won’t take in any vampire books. Probably because there was Twilight and that was crap - no offence to anyone, I’m dead serious - now, the good name of vampires has been dragged through the mud, until they became sparkly weak things.

If so, I don’t understand; surely a vampire book would sell. Vampires are so "in", sorry I don’t know any other way to say this. I’m very into real vampires myself and if I see a book at Chapters that has a 1 in a million shot of being a vampire book I’ll pick it up and read the back cover and check it out. I also know many friends that do the same thing, except they would buy any and every vampire book in the store.

Is this rumor true, will agents reject a good story because of vampirism?

I know vampires need human blood to replenish their own, but do you know of any source (fiction) where vampires feed on each other? Thanks!

Ok so I just finished reading the last available book in the House of Night Series and The Vampire Academy Series and I don’t know what to read next! Im looking for a book with the same concepts vampires, good versus evil, and romance. So I’m looking for suggestion.

Anybody have any good vampire book recommendations? anything along the line of Cirque Du Freak, if anybody has read that, that could help with suggestions. All Help would be much appreciated.

I am looking for some good fantasy fiction books to read; particularly vampire and magic related (other than Harry Potter or twilight).

I know my question is kinda roughly said. but basically, I watched all 2 seasons of Vampire Knight, and that was the end of it…no season 3. But they say the manga is still on going.

Where does the anime show stop in the manga? Because I want to continue reading what happens after the last episode of Vampire Knight season 2. I
n general I wanna pick up where the show ended.

I’m giving my friend (who is 26 years old) a book and she’s really into vampires and magic. She’s not a teenager so don’t think of Twilight (although I’m sure she likes that). Think of topics related to vampires, magic, fiction.

you know what vampire stories i’m getting tired of? the same typical ones you find EVERYWHERE. A new myserious student shows up out of no where and a mortal falls instantly in love with them, devoting they’re entire lives to them. then the vamprie thinks its too dangerous to stick around and decides to leave. you know, twilight was THE BEST book that displayed that. but all the others that followed…gay.

soo any vampire stories out there that is out of the ordinary? I’ve been following up with the vampire diaries and i know its sort of the same, except the vampire doesnt actually LEAVE yet.

w/e all in all, just throw out a few vampire stories that you’ve read and LOVED. maybe the vampire is the woman and the man is the damsel in distress? lol

ok, I like when the vampires in others stories aren’t exactly the same, but they aren’t like a totally different species.
the author should just make up their own species, if they want to cahnge half the things about a vampire.

I was trying to think of a story to write and came up with a few ideas. What do you think of it?

Title:Vampires:—-(Can you help with the title, please?)
Characters:Valentina Jefferson, Damon Brooks, Asha Michaels, Jake Moore, Drake Card
Summary:Valentina, a 3000 year old vampire finally found a place where vampires could ”live in peace” and not have to be hunted by humans. She even falls in love with a handsome 3020 year old vampire, Damon Brooks. But when Damon’s best friend, Drake, becomes jealous, he puts Damon’s vampiric abilities and trust to the test and even puts Valentina’s life at risk. Damon must do everything in his power to the one he loves, or has to live the rest of eternity alone.

PS. I know the ending is a bit cheesy but I couldn’t think of anything. So….Feedback? And a title please?

and could you tell me if L.J Smith is making any other books and when she is going to release them?
