A vampire story, would you read this?
Alright, I’m not going to post a sample or anything, I’m too cautious for that but…details are alright, I guess…
My story is basically a romance. My main character is female and was born 1847. The setting is 21st century New York City. In this story, vampires are allowed to have contact with humans, but aren’t allowed to suck their blood, they instead get the blood from hospital blood banks and stuff. basically, my main character is like a "Princess" in the vampire hierarchy. She is expected to have relationships with only vampires, apart from her human employer/landlord, whatever. But her friends and significant others are to be only vampires.
But she falls in love with a human. The vampire "King" isn’t happy about it, and he has lots of power, so he could kill people and still be able to cover it up etc
Also, the vampires are not only categorized into social classes such as Noble/Peasent type deal but also grouped by blood-type such as Pure, who are born from two vampire parents.
Would this be intresting?

I’d read it. I think it’d be good. The Pure Vamps, and stuff reminds me of HP, with Pureblood, Halfblood, muggleborn.

Honestly, I thought Twilight was the worst vampire novel but reading what people post on here, I can’t believe it.

Sounds interesting but just a word of warning. The whole world is saturated by vampires right now, its pretty annoying. Plus no matter what you do it will be compared to all the other vamp stories around, especially now

Yes it does sound good! I was expecting something like twilight (you wouldn’t believe the imitations out there… oh sigh…) but this actually sounded alot better. I’d love to read it, if you get it published.
Be wary of sounding too much like twilight- but it sounds good if you can keep that differenciation.

Blood-type sounds interesting, and I rather like it, but then that makes me think of Harry Potter.
If it was written in an interesting way and avoided cliches (which seems unlikely) then it may have potential.

no you should try changing it a little its almost like twilight.
I would read it, but I agree. It does kind of sound like the Twilight series and everything. I’d throw in some details that spice it up a bit and make it different.
